Mimmo Di Carlo is returning to his beloved Vicenza, but now as a manager. After playing nine years for the biancorossi, he will now guide the team from the bench. The club made the deal official with the below statement on the team's website:

"The LR Vicenza club announces that Domenico Di Carlo signed a deal with the club until June 30, 2022. Domenico Di Carlo, a symbol of the biancorossa, wore the Vicenza shirt for 9 seasons, achieving Serie B promotion in 1992-93, then Serie A in 1994-95, lifting the Coppa Italia trophy in 1997 after defeating Napoli, then arriving in the Coppa delle Coppe semifinals in 1997-98 against Chelsea. He debuted as a manager of the Vicenza Primavera squad before managing Mantova, Parma, Chievo, Sampdoria, Livorno, Cesena, Spezia and Novara. The new biancorosso mister will be presented to the press and fans on the evening of June 4 at the Stadio Menti, and the new uniforms for the 2019-20 season will debut. More details will follow in the coming hours."
