Maldini will become the replacement effectively for Leonardo, after serving for a year as the Director of Strategic Development for the Sporting Area. The definiive reply is expected to come on Monday. Then the focus will turn to the hiring of the new coach: Marco Giampaolo is the top name being considered. The question of the coach is not yet decided on, however Milan is ready to begin again with Maldini, who is close to accepting the role offered by Gazidis.
