Venezia continue to target American player to bolster Zanetti's squad now that they are back in Serie A. They are now interested in signing Erik Palmer Brown who is owned by Manchester City.
Venezia are optimistic they can't close the deal, although they would like to close the deal for Caldara first. Palmer Brown has been on loan at Austria Vienna where he played in 29 games last season, he also previously played on loan at Kortrijk and NAC Breda.
A move to Italy could help Palmer-Brown's chances of returning to the US national team, in addition Venezia are also trying to sign two veterans in Caldara, who returned to Milan after a loan at Atalanta and Niang, currently at Rennes.
