After the sacking of Igor Tudor, Udinese got three vital points with the win against Genoa. Assistant coach Luca Gotti, who was on the bench for the game against the Rossoblu, confirmed that he has no interest in becoming the head coach: "That can't happen. My job is assistant coach, when a new coach will come I'll be ready to take a step back again", Gotti said in the post-game interview.
The club continues to evaluate the possible candidates for the job, as the want to be sure to choose the right option to take over. At the moment, Walter Zenga remains the fron runner for the job, as the parties will have a meeting in the next few hours before making the final decision. The other names being evaluated are those of Ballardini, Marino and Colantuono, however the club has not made any contacts with them yet.
