Atalanta is taking Serie A by surprise with a fabulous string of results thus far in the campaign. The season has seen the emergence of a stable of budding stars. And Luca Percassi, the son of the president has met with several Premier League clubs who are interested in onboarding some of Atalanta's young players. Midfielder Franck Kessie has been targeted most strongly by Tottenham, while Leicester and West Bromwich have also taken their look. Juventus has been following Kessie, who could be worth around €23m, for some time too. That price might be too high for Juventus, and one of the deep pocketed English clubs could engage in a bidding war that could force Juve to the sidelines of the negotiations. Italy's reigning champions meanwhile are after defender Mattia Caldara, along with other suitors Roma, Napoli, and Inter. A request was lodged by Milan, as reported yesterday, for the Caldara-Gagliardini pair, who could be valued between €40-45m. It could be a deal that could take place in June, however a deal for January could be considered at the right price.
