Erik Lamela has been a decisive player for Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham this early season, finding playing time - and goals - across the Premier League and Champions League. With a difficult group to play in, including Barcelona and Inter, Spurs are trying to strike success, and Lamela, in an interview with Sky Sport, discussed how his maturity has played into his form:
"I am happy with the way things are going, I feel content. Has something within me changed? No, I have found consistency and I feel good, when I play I am happy, and I enjoy every match. The battle against PSV? Absolutely the two goals we scored yesterday were extremely important to get us on track to be able to qualify for the round of 16.
However, what happened against Inter at the San Siro will stay with us for a long time. We were winning, and we threw it all away in 10 minutes. We started poorly, but now we have created a greater chance for ourselves. The match yesterday was a difficult one, that we needed to win. We were aware of that, and now we will hope for good results."
