The quotes of Torino's chairman Urbano Cairo after the Spezia game could not be enough for Marco Giampaolo to keep his job at the Granata.
The club are in fact seriously considering the sacking of the former Milan coach. Should they decide to replace Giampaolo the fron runner to get the job seems to be Davide Nicola. Talks between the parties are ongoing, as the former Genoa coach is deemed the right man for the job by the Torino's board due to his ability to manage in difficult situations (Torino are currently in the battle to avoid relegation).
Roberto Donadoni and Moreno Longo remain options, while Giampiero Ventura could also return at the club as consultant or technical director. The more concrete option, however, remains the appointment of former Genoa coach Davide Nicola.
