After having coached in Greece with Panathinaikos, Andrea Stramaccioni could become the new coach of Sparta Prague. The ex-Inter coach encountered Daniel Kretinsky, current chairman of the club, for over three hours. Stramaccioni was struck by his strong desire to win with the club, as Sparta has not triumphed in the past three years and would achieve direct Champions League qualification by winning the league.
Stramaccioni was offered a three year contract and the ability to have his own staff. He was also promised the possibility of buying an internationally recognized payer. The club has been following Stramaccioni for some time, and the recent successes of Italian coaches around Europe have made him an attractive option. Today, the encounter was positive, and Stramaccioni should give his response within a week.
