In his second season at Manchester United, Matteo Darmian could win his first trophy since the Red Devils are one step closer to the Europa League final after the 1-0 win in the semi final first leg against Celta Vigo. The Italian defender talked about his team's run and his performance this season in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport:"We aren't yet in the final and the second leg will have to be prepared well since it will be a difficult match. The good thing is we'll play at Old Trafford and that always gives an extra motivation. The final is our biggest objective. Rashford? He's a great player and is still very young. He can be a top player because he's good in every phase: he has pace, can shoot, has movement, speed and sees the goal"
Darmian talked about his relationship with Mourinho and how he fits into the team:"In the end I was able to find my space. Even when I didn't play I always tried to work with the most effort and tried to take advantage of the opportunities the manager gave me. My relationship with Mourinho? It has always been good and continues to be. He was probably happy with my effort, now I'm satisfied because I play more often, but there have never been problems, just great professionalism"
