From the rumors linking him to Juventus to Sevilla's interest, many clubs have tempted Lucas Torreira. The Uruguayan midfielder has been wishing for a move but claims to Secolo XIX being satisfied staying at Sampdoria in the end: "I went on holidays with many thoughts in my mind: people were talking about other clubs, mercato, many possibilities that I would leave. I'm happy I've stayed here even if big teams have been thinking about me. It hasn't been easy, my ambition to be linked by important teams is challenging because if you don't want to grow means you don't have ambition. Going to a big team would be an important step I can't deny it. But on the other hand I'm happy I'm tied to Sampdoria".
