Sampdoria, Romei: "The club is not for sale"

There have been many rumors that Sampdoria are for sale, however, yesterday their owner Ferrero tried to quash them and the point was reiterated today by vice president Antonio Romei. After the Lega Assembly, he had this to say: "The sale of Sampdoria is only rumors, just like president Ferrero confirmed, there is nothing to say." Then he added: "And from when Ferrero purchased Sampdoria there is someone who always likes to spread these rumors. The funds exist in football, it's enough to think that a fund bought Milan, they are normal things today. We have never received a real offer for our club, that belongs to and remains to the president, Ferrero."
