Sampdoria vice president Antonio Romei spoke on the call-up of Fabio Quagliarella and the potential sale of the club.
On Quagliarella's call-up: "It's a great honor for us, we're obviously very happy because Fabio deserves it and does extraordinary things. He's the oldest Azzurri player, but he's young on the inside. The important thing is that he's there and that he plays, he already showed his value when he entered and that's good. We're happy of the fact that we have 11 players in their respective national teams, it shows the work done to this point. Our players have behaved well so we'll keep moving forward."
"A possible sale? We only need to think about the match against Milan, not talk about other things. The 130 million euro offer that has circled around for the sale? Ferrero has always said that we need a fair offer to sell. I cannot respond to these questions and repeat that we must only think about Milan, the rest is just chatter. Nobody has contacted us."
