The recent developments on the new stadium front have been the main story line for Roma during the international break. The giallorossi’s president James Pallotta discussed the topic in a recent interview with Real Vision:”Let’s hope that the politicians don’t ruin everything. Within three years we are counting on having the stadium. I believe my entry into the club was interesting for Roma. I arrived as one of three passive investors but then I thought that it would have a fun experience and that I could have developed the brand”
Pallotta described the challenges when he took over:”The club was in a dire financial situation: the previous owners who had done good work on the pitch for a few years, continued to get in debt. I believe Unicredit was the real owner of the club: we had to do a lot of things to change this course. We now want to make our new stadium the most used in Southern Europe. I hope everything is done by end of May so we can start building in December of 2019”.
