The signing of centre-back Chabot from Groningen, could be only just the beggining for Sampdoria this week. While coach Marco Giampaolo's future seems to be more and more distant from Marassi, the club has already started to look on the market for some interesting profiles. One of them is definitely that of Jan Carlos Hurtado, a Venezuelan striker born in 2000 currently at Gimnasia La Plata. The Blucerchiati have already submitted an offer to the Argentinian club, and a response is expected to arrive on Tuesday.
Gimnasia set their asking price in the region of 3-4 million euros, while Sampdoria submitted an offer that was marginally below the treshold of 2 million. On Tuesday, the Argentinian club will decide whether to accept Samp's bid or, most likely, ask the Italian club to slightly improve their offer up to 2.5 million and, possibly, add 500.000 euro in bonuses.
The contacts between clubs have been ongoing since March and now the negotiations seem to have reached the last stretch. Tuesday will be a crucial day for the outcome of the deal, with Sampdoria rather optimistic about their chances to sign the young striker, who made 17 appereances in Argentina's first divison scoring 2 goals and providing one assist.
