Report by Marco Bovicelli
Despite the fact he came off the bench in most of his 27 matches this season, Patrik Schick has already scored ten goals this season, the youngest player to reach double digits in Serie A this season. It's not surprising that the talented striker has already attracted the interest of Juventus, Inter, Napoli in Italy as well as Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Tottenham and German clubs abroad. Sampdoria is determined to keep their new jewel by offering him a raise and increasing his current €25 million clause.
Sampdoria's brass was supposed to meet with Schick's agents Paska and Satin today, but because of lawyer Romeo's trip to the United States the meeting will take place later this week. Sampdoria wants to delay his departure and Inter, who is in pole position to sign him, could be open to leaving him for one year on Giampaolo's squad to further develop- Napoli and Juventus on the other hand have yet to have any direct contacts. Schick's agents would prefer to bring the player abroad, especially in Germany where there are multiple teams interested. This is the situation surrounding one of the best prospects in Serie A.
