Roma is looking to their future and has begun working on an extension for Lorenzo Pellegrini. The midfielder's contract will expire 30 June 2022, and has an exit clause of €30m payable in two tranches. The sum is a modest one compared to the expenditures Europe's big clubs are capable of. However, even if no offer for Pellegrini to move arrives, both player and club's desire at this point is to move forward together. Roma's directors have communicated to the player's entourage that they plan to count on Pellegrini into the future. The discussion around an extension has already begun, but will probably be reponed at the end of the season in order to allow Pellegrini to finish his season and to consider the extension offer at his own pace.
