Tuesday's meeting in Sardegna to continue the negotiation to acquire Victor Osimhen was quite productive. Napoli's sporting director Giuntoli received the striker's approval for the move, at this point there are just a few remaining details to close the deal for the Lille attacker born in 1998.
In addition the partenopei remains active on other fronts as well. De Laurentiis' club are at work to also acquire Darwin Nunez, who just scored 16 goals in 29 matches for Almeria in Spain's second division. The initial request was for €30 million, which was now lowered to €20 million. A meeting is expected within the next 15/20 days to see if the deal can be closed, but since Nunez doesn't have an EU passport he could be parked at another Italian club next season.
Napoli are also pursuing Luka Romero, a striker currently at Maiorca who made his professional debut this season, the youngest player to do so in any of the top European leagues. The attacker born in 2004 is also being pursued by Atletico Madrid.
