On the eve of the Europa League game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Roma's coach Paulo Fonseca touched upon many topics, included the crammed schedule for teams that play in European competitions: "This game will be more decisive for Borussa than us. It will be a different game from the home match, we must focus on tomorrow's performance and not on the referee. The calendar? I would be willing to reduce my salary if it would help improve the quality of matches. Teams play too many games. I like watching football too, and it's a better spectacle with the best players out there. We need to find ways to rethink the calendar. If that meant taking a paycut, I would do it".
Finally, Fonseca discussed the mentality of his squad: "If you work for Roma, you must be focused on winning every game. It's not a matter of competition, what matters is winning next game. We will play against a great team tomorrow and me muste be focused solely on winning the game", concluded the Portuguese.
