The negotiations between Napoli and Roma for Milik continue to be a soap opera. The Polish striker, who completed his medical visits in Switzerland for the giallorossi, seemed to be just a step away from his formal arrival. Then, however, came the contentions from De Laurentiis that require a resolutution.
Rumors around Milik's physical status made it seem like they were the reason for the negotiations to stall, but Roma has made it clear that there are no concerns around Milik's health. They released the below statement on their official site:
“With regard to the rumors relating to the negotiation with Napoli for the possible transfer of Arkadiusz Milik, AS Roma denies any allegation on the state of the negotiations and even more on the physical condition of the player, for whom it has deep esteem and respect. The club reiterates that it never and will never comment, either in an official communication or in confidentiality, on the health or fitness of a player registered with another club. Consequently, AS Roma rejects the attribution of any judgment on the player’s physical condition”.
