Roma’s search for a worthy Salah substitute (will be busy in Africa Cup of Nations) continues. Spalletti’s club has already looked into several names, Charly Musonda in particular. Right now, Roma is pushing to make progress on negotiations with El Ghazi. The clubs sporting director Gandini is currently in Dubai, just like Jorge Mendes, agent of El Ghazi. This creates a new scenario in which a dialogue with the targeted player can be made. For now, the obstacles lies with the modality of the transfer: Roma wants the winger on a loan with an option to buy, whereas Ajax would rather sell the player instantly, or give him out on a loan with an obligation to buy.
