Roma-Barcelona set to complete deal for Vermaelen: the latest

Roma is ready to welcome a new defender to Spalletti's squad. The giallorossi are working on the last details of Thomas Vermaelen's transfer, there is an agreement with Barcelona and the contracts are expected to be signed on Monday. The Belgian defender is expected to arrive on loan with obligation to buy for around €12 million total. Once the last details are settled Vermaelen will be ready to start next chapter of his career in Serie A.
