Rodriguez' agent:"Fiorentina wants to keep him & his priority is to stay"

After four seasons in Tuscany, Gonzalo Rodriguez' intentions are clear- he wants to retire as a Fiorentina player. The 32 year old defender however has interests from numerous clubs, but today his agent Jose Raul Iglesias met with Fiorentina's sporting director Corvino- this is what he told Radio Bruno about the situation:"I had a good meeting with the director, there is a good disposition from Fiorentina, we'll meet again soon to have some answers. The Viola want to extend his contract and Gonzalo wants to stay in Florence. The club made a significant proposal, although it wasn't what we expected. The priority is staying at Fiorentina, although I must admit there are other clubs interested like San Lorenzo, the club in which he grew up. Proposal? Fiorentina offered a one year deal with option for a second season, I won't give you the figures"
