Another four days until the Milan derby, the most anticipated game this weekend. Montella and Pioli are ready to battle it out in what will be the first derby for both coaches. Ahead of the game, Massimo also had something to say, as reported by Sky Sport:
‘All derby’s are beautiful and interesting. Just because both clubs are not under an Italian ownership doesn’t mean the rivalry loses its appeal. Montella and Pioli are both good coaches. They’ll know how to prepare their respective sides. Obviously for Pioli it’ll be complicated to make his debut in such a tricky game, but he’s a smart man and will know how to tackle any challenge he faces. The best derby? My first ever derby was exciting because we went in as underdogs but ended up winning. The one when Sneijder arrived also has a special place in my heart. Samuel? I love the fact that he returned in the coaching staff. Those who were with us when we won the treble are intelligent lads who love the club. His return is exactly what we needed’.
