This evening Nantes manager Claudio Ranieri was the guest of honor on Sky Sport’s Calciomercato l’Originale where he was interviewed by our editor in chief Gianluca Di Marzio. Ranieri was asked to describe his relationship with Jose’ Mourinho:”He’s a competitive person, someone who says things to your face. I attacked him first by speculating on his success at Porto. I then realized I had put myself in a jam. I later replaced him at Inter where I spoke to the team manager, who I think acted as an intermediary. From then on we developed a great relationship based on respect. When he found out I was sacked at Leicester, he told me he would do a gesture, but I didn’t expect he would show up at a press conference wearing my jersey”
