In a recent interview with Marca the Croatian international laid out his intentions:"I want to play, the time has come to give back to society what we received. No one could have imagined this situation, but we must think positive. We must be more united than ever, together we can make it. I'm a person who likes to control things, so this situation is disorienting. My family was also worried, but thank god we are all doing well"
Rakitic went on:"I respect all points of view, recently we saw that France decided not to end the season, every country needs to analyze their situation and make their choices, it can't be a common choice for everyone. When countries decide what to do they will defend the players and their citizens' health"
