Marco Verratti has been fined by PSG: the Parisian club has punished the Italian midfielder for the events that took place on the night of October 30th, when he was stopped by the police for drunk driving. No speeding ticket or arrest occurred, but from the club, he was fined for "inappropriate behaviour for a Paris Saint-Germain footballer". Today, the club has given their position through a press release on their official website.
"In the night between October 30th and 31st, Marco Verratti was subjected to a road check at the wheel of his car, which had shown a blood alcohol level above the authorized limit for drivers. The next day, our player spontaneously apologized to Paris Saint-Germain's manager and management. According to the rules applied to the contracts of all our players, Marco Verratti will be deprived of part of his monthly ethical bonus, reminding players of the exemplary behaviour they must follow in all circumstances regarding their status as Paris Saint-Germain players."
