Porto-Juventus will be a special encounter for Rui Barros: He spent a lifetime at Porto, but also had a couple of seasons of experience with Juventus, winning an Italian cup and a UEFA Cup in 1989. Here is what he had to say ahead of the game in an interview with TuttoSport:
“Higuain or Dybala? If I could, I’d take them both out of their squad. While we’re at it, I’d do the same for the other nine starters. Juventus has no weak points: everyone is strong. Playing home or away? I don’t mind which one we play first, even if there could be an advantage playing at home in the second leg. It’s a known fact that we’re much stronger at home. We know it’ll be difficult, but we’re playing well. We deserved reaching this stage of the tournament, especially after knocking out a strong team like Roma in the qualifiers. We changed a lot of players this year. It’s normal to need some time to get things rolling.”
