After being very close to joining Sassuolo, Gianluca Caprari could now become Parma's new reinforcement for the attack. During the night, the Gialloblu have reached an agreement in principle with Sampdoria over the transfer of the forward. The two clubs will now try to settle the details of the deal, with Parma very keen on moving ahead of other suitors like SPAL and Sassuolo.

The Neroverdi especially have not made an improved bid yet and, if they did, it would probably be too late for them as the player has already said 'yes' to Parma and is pushing for a move to D'Aversa's team. Smapdoria and Parma are currently negotiating the transfer form and the final agreement could be reached on the basis of a loan with obligation to buy that would be triggered in case the player make a certain number of apperances.

A player that could be included in the deal is defender Vasco Regini, although Sampdoria are not very convinced about letting Regini leave and would rather focus the deal only on Caprari.

The finalisation of the Caprari deal could bring consequences to Sassuolo's transfer plans too. Coach De Zerbi's plan was in fact to bring in a reinforcement for the attack with the funds coming from the sale of a midfielder, a position where the Neroverdi have plenty of players. Should no striker be bought, the Neroverdi coach could not give his go-ahead to the sale of a midfielder, hence the Duncan deal with Fiorentina could be fall through despite being already in an advanced stage,
