Goran Pandev is ready to begin again, like many of his colleagues. At 36 years old, he's preparing to retire at the end of the year, but has one goal in mind prior to hanging up his boots for the last time: save Genoa. The player spoke on his desire to return to the pitch and his future with Corriere dello Sport.
"I miss training with my teammates: football is our live. Starting the league again? I hope so, but the decisions will be made by the authorities that I'm sure will make the best decision. Starting again, however, would be an important sign for all of Italy and the people would watch something that isn't just news about the virus. Even if playing without fans wouldn't be ideal...if the season must end now, I'd be sad for my Genoa. In the last period we showed great things and that we can calmly save ourselves. Nicola brought enthusiasm and confidence to the group."
"At the moment, I still think about finishing my career at the end of the season. I imagine that my final match would have many people at the stadium, I want to say good-bye to the rossblù fans because here I spent 5 beautiful years and I only want to thank them. I gave everything for this shirt, I'd like to be able to say good-bye to football in a packed Ferraris."
