After returning to Serie B for the first time in four years, Padova are looking for reinforcements. The biancoscudati met with Juventus recently to discuss some of the bianconeri’s prospects including Luca Clemenza and Roman Macek, two players born in ‘97.
Clemenza’s situation is complicated by fact his current team Ascoli could avoid relegation by defeating Virtus Entella in the playoffs, should they remain in Serie B they could extend the loan of the Italian trequartista. Padova however continue their efforts to sign Clemenza, since the player wants to join but there’s also interest from Sassuolo for him, who could buy him outright and then loan him to Padova, but Juventus aren’t certain they want to sell the player and lose his rights long term.
This season Macek played for Cremonese in Serie B, Padova have requested to acquire him on loan- should both he and Clemenza join Bisoli’s squad, Juventus would also extend their contracts through 2023. Padova have also not given up hope on the Luca Marrone front, but the player is waiting for an offer from a Serie A team at moment, making his signing difficult.
