Last night, Newcastle United took on Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. at the Molineux Stadium. A final result ending in a 1-1 draw, Magpies manager Rafa Benitez was furious: his side were up 1-0 - thanks to a goal in the 56' from Isaac Hayden - until the 95' when the Wolves equalized through a controversial Willy Boly goal. A victory that could have been fundamental for Newcastle in the standings, this refereeing error made the former coach of Napoli and Real Madrid go on a rampage - according to Benitez, there was a foul on the part of the goalscorer, Willy Boly, on his goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

In England the Football Association has decided to protect the referees from coaches and players - they have implemented fines and deferments to prevent anything from occurring. However, last night, Benitez, showed that he was not afraid to face those consequences as he lashed out at directly against the English refereeing class and the FA: "In England the referees do not understand the rules, they do not know how to arbitrate in the right way, yet they continue to be protected. I'm not surprised about these situations, but I'm still angry. I have coached for several years in England - I am able to express myself."
