Alessandro Nesta has recently become the new manager for Frosinone, returning to coach in the region where he grew as a football player and become a symbol, as well as captain, of Lazio. In his past he played many derbies against another symbol of Rome and Roma: Francesco Totti. The new manager spoke on the separation between Totti and the giallorosso club.
"Totti's good-bye? I am surprised and astonished. I didn't think this could happen, but I do not know the dynamics that brought him to distance himself from Roma. I don't enter into the discussions of other clubs, because I don't know them and it's not in my interests , but I can say that I strongly believe in the values of club legends. I repeat, I was hurt by Totti's good-bye from Roma, I can imagine his pain but I wish him well."
"Who loses more in this separation: Roma or Totti? I think that Roma loses a lot because I maintain that the tradition and history need to always be part of a club, but it's clear that I don't enter into the merit of the decision of the executives. Francesco will suffer, but has the qualities to do other things even if it's not with the club of his heart, at least for now."
