In an interview with Il corriere dello sport, Alessandro Nesta covered a variety of topics from his career. Here is what Miami FC’s current coach had to say on the interest of both Juventus and Real Madrid:
“I didn’t want to leave Lazio: I had only played there and so I figured that is where I would end my career. I remember a few years back getting an offer from Real Madrid, and if I think about it today…Destiny ended up paying me back by sending me to Milan, even if at the time it was almost obligated. Today, I thank god for that: I won everything that I won, and I had a great time. Nonetheless, leaving Rome and Lazio was a hard hit to my roots”.
