Napoli drew today at Sassuolo, 2-2. The match saw Mertens net his 22nd goal of the season, as well as Milik scoring his first goal since missing four months due to injury. Napoli saw their opportunity to move ahead of Roma into second chance evaporate, and afterwards, their coach Maurizio Sarri spoke to Sky Sport: "Today despite the good match we committed errors which kept the chance to win from us. Despite this we've been having a great season even though we've dropped points. Mertens' penalty claim? From the bench it looked clear-cut. However we played well, we scored two great goals, but we needed to keep Sassuolo from getting back in the match. This is what's keeping us back, and our area of opportunity to improve. Second place? It'll be harder because of this draw, but we need to continue to fight for it match after match. I am happy for Milik who competed to get back to scoring. I am unhappy, because I feel we could have won this match easily, but we will remain confident."
