Napoli have initiated new contacts on Thursday for Sassuolo's Matteo Politano. Sassuolo, initially unwilling to deal the winger, are considering a deal that would bring Napoli's Adam Ounas back on loan in exchange for Politano, along with a €20-€25m transfer fee. Another option for Sassuolo to replace Politano is Gianluca Caprari, from Sampdoria.
Napoli are also close to a deal with Ajax for Amin Younes. The player is awaiting permission to leave for Italy with his agent, if the two clubs come to a final agreement by this evening, Younes could take his Napoli medicals on Friday.
