After his debut in the Champions League against Besiktas and in the league versus Crotone, Amadou Diawara finally has the chance of becoming a consistent starter. The young Guinean midfielder revealed some interesting back stories from his experience with Napoli: ‘I chose number 42 for my idol Yaya Touré. I love it here in Napoli and its local cuisine. My favorite are pasta and especially pizza’.
On the current adventure with Napoli: ‘Even when I was on the bench I’d be upset whenever we lost, so I’m very happy for the win against Crotone. Jorginho is a great player, I’m young and all I can do is make myself available to the coach at all times. Upfront there are some great options, the final say is in the coaches hands though. After the game Gabbiadini apologised to all of us on our WhatsApp group, we told him we have to keep fighting together until the end’.
Despite the young age, Diawara already has his future envisioned: ‘I’m in a great team the dream is to win a trophy.’
