It's been a struggle recently for Napoli, and the Europa zone is getting further and further away from their grasps. They currently have 20 points and suffered a loss today against Bologna. Manager Carlo Ancelotti spoke on the match with Sky Sport.
"Today's team is different than the one against Liverpool. There weren't the same rhythms and concentration. We played well in the first half, maybe not very well, even if we left some space to the opponents. Now we need to reunite with the team, talk and understand because this negative period is lasting too long."
"It's normal that the manager assumes the responsibility, the reason for which I'll speak with the guys tomorrow is to try and understand together what's not working well. If we're not able to, I'll try and find a solution myself. The reasons? I already know that they're in the technical tactics. We must be more solid, because if we are the results will arrive like against Liverpool."
"The players also need to feel responsible for what's happening. I have my faults, and maybe they're bigger, but the players need to give something more with respect to what they aren't doing. We are not fluid in our play, we seem to improvise too often. And if the things aren't doing like they should, it's up to us to change them with the right determination. I know that it's not possible to always give 100%, but we cannot allow ourselves to play at 20, 30% of our abilities."
