Monaco’s defender Andrea Raggi discussed his team’s underwhelming start to the season in an interview with Extratime. The club of the Principality of Monaco is six points behind the Ligue 1’s leaders PSG and is on the edge of elimination in the Champions League, as they need a win tonight against Red Bull Leipzig. “We will give our best effort to qualify and not have any regrets. But if we get eliminated and enter the Europa League, we will try and go all the way in that competition. The favourite teams for the Champions League win are PSG and Manchester City. Juventus also, should never be underestimated, while Napoli is still missing something, but the play a beautiful football”, Raggi said.
The Italian defender also commented on his national team’s elimination from the World Cup: “It doesn’t seem possible, I was very sorry for Buffon. Now we need someone who can start again from the many talented young players we have, but the youngsters have to show hunger”.
