Who wouldn’t want to be the owner of one of the most prestigious clubs in world football? Pretty much everyone, but only a selected few can afford it. Currently Manchester United is owned by the Glazer family, but in recent weeks there has been talk the Americans could sell. According to the Sun, Mohammad bin Salman is interested in purchasing the Red Devils and have presented an offer of £3.8 billion.
But Saudi Arabia’s minister of media Turki Al Shabanah denied the ongoing negotiation with a recent tweet:”Reports claiming that HRH the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman intends on buying Manchester United are completely false. Manchester United held a meeting with PIF Saudi to discuss sponsorship opportunity, no deal was materialized”.
