In Amsterdam at the Wyscout Forum, Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to MLS' Senior Manager for Player Relations Columbus Morfaw for Sky Sports. The topic of the conversation was MLS and American soccer's relative growth onto a world stage.

"The future of American soccer is in my view very bright. The technical level is getting stronger constantly both in MLS and in the national team. We know that from a commercial and sponsorship perspective we are very strong, now what matters is technical growth."

Discussing Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "I truthfully don't know what his future is, I hope he will stay in America. His record speaks for itself, he's truly a legend. He has, as have Beckham and Rooney helped crucially to grow the image of MLS around the world."

On young emerging American players: "We are very happy, because we have young Americans contributing and playing well in Europe, and that number is growing. Some may end up playing in Italy, there are many of them and they are very good. One certainly is Timothy Weah, son of George. He plays at PSG, he is a great player, he has a big future ahead of him."
