Frederic Massara spoke to Sky during the Venezia-Milan prematch, discussing his thoughts on the current transfer period.
His focus is on the next reinforcement for Stefano Pioli, specifically a defender for the rossoneri's setup.
Sven Botman is a player that the Milan directors regard very highly. The Dutch defender is attractive for his qualities and his age, he turns 22 on 12 January.
He is the ideal player to join the team's defense, but the cost of a potential deal is highly inflated for the young Botman. Milan have economic guidelines that could make it difficult to move for him:
"Botman is a very good player, but I don't believe Lille really want to sell him now. We are considering his profile, but there are many options on the table and we're also discussing things with the coach. There is a lot of time left in the transfer window, and we're lucky to have options to consider. A center back is probably our number one priority given the injury to Kjær. If we have a chance to strengthen ourselves there in a sustainable way, we will work to get it done".
