The expected closing for the sale of Milan to Chinese investors has been postponed. Earlier today Fininvest and Siro Europe Sport issued a joint statement to announce that the expected closing on December 13th has now been postponed to March 3rd.
On the same date of the closing for the sale there will also be a meeting with all of the shareholders, but in order for the process to take place within the guidelines all of the authorizations must be received by February 28th. The meeting must be called at least 15 days before it takes place so Fininvest will have to take action by February 20th to have the meeting on March 3rd. With the sale postponed, Silvio Berlusconi still owns Milan, the closing is now expected on March 3rd.
