After the win in the derby over Inter, Milan's coach Stefano Pioli discussed his team's current form in an interview with Radio Anch'io Sport: "We had a very good start to our season, but we have just begun. We won't set any boundaries, we are very ambitious".
The coach then discussed the ongoing negotiations over Donnarumma's contract extension: "I think Maldini and Gazidis are working to resolve the situation regarding Gigio's contract extension. The club knows that him, Ibrahimovic and Calhanoglu are very important players to us, so I'm sure that they have already set the meetings with them to try and reach an agreement. Bakayoko? It's fine [that we didn't sign him], we have four players that can play as central midfielder. Tonali? It was a difficult summer for him. He has great qualities, I consider him a starter in the team. I am lucky to have many players in that position and it's a good thing since we have to play many games this season".
