After two consecutive victories against Parma and Bologna, Milan hope to keep to their winning ways against Sassuolo and continue this positive moment. Manager Stefano Pioli spoke to the press prior to the match.
"We haven't completely come out of the tunnel. We see the light, but we must shine and continue to do well..
On Bonaventura and Piatek: "The team is growing in all points of view, the head is more positive. Bonaventura is an important player, the more important players we have the more we can do well. Piatek? When we play as a team, then the individuals get celebrated."
On Ibra and Caldara: "Berlusconi said that he'd like Ibra at Monza? He expressed his desire. I am working well with the team and am satisfied. Paquetà feels well, he's in good conditions. If Caldara is called up then he's able to play, he's surely doing well. He cannot be at 100% but it's right that he's with us."
On the market: "The market? If there's a way to improve them we'll find ourselves ready but it's important to make points in these matches. I expect a lot from my team."
On Leao: "He was acquired because he has very important potential, even if obviously it'll take time, and then because the original technical project for Milan was to play with two attackers. He's an attacker of movement, but can also be the central attacker with his characteristics. He's working to improve and to grow his bag of tactics and physique."
On Calhanoglu: "He is a very important and strong player, I don't think he's a true attacking winger, he must play the entire pitch."
