Krzystof Piatek got off to a great start to his Milan career last season, but things have since slowed down as the Polish striker is having a hard time finding the back of the net these days. He spoke to Polish TV outfit Tvp Sport about life in Serie A: "When I transferred to Milan everything happened so quickly that I didn't even ask questions. I am concentrated on my work, in football you always look to reach new objectives. Now I'm worth 38 million, but the next time I switch clubs I want to be valued at 60-70 million. I must be ambitious, I will work for this. I am only at the beginning of my career, it's only my second season in Serie A, which is one of the top five leagues in the world."
Piatek has not scored in a month, with his last goal coming against Lecce in Serie A on October 20th, he had this to say about his goal drought: "I look in the mirror and look for the blame inside myself. At the beginning, the team wasn't creating many opportunities. We are getting better, I'm going to celebrate again. For the journalists in Italy, one day you can be the Pope of football and then the next day you are the worst player. I accept this. Nobody has been in my shoes, the magazine covers don't bother me."
He finished by touching on his relationship with the Milan fans, who welcomed him from the beginning: "I was shocked. In the first match against Napoli I wore headphones, but I still heard the entire signing my name and applauding. They treated me as if I have been playing here for years. They have appreciated me since the first days. In Italy my popularity has grown tremendously. When I left Poland I only had 5000 followers on Instagram, now I have a million and a half. The popularity has become enormous, but the most important thing is football. I appreciate the fans who want to take pictures with me."
