While the team continue their impressive run in the Serie A, Atalanta's president Antonio Percassi discussed about the possible moves of the club on the transfer market, moves that will most probably not involve the man of the hour Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
"Ibrahimovic is a fantastic footballer, but we can't afford him - Percassi said at the inaguration of the Mino Favini Academy - we are 'poor'. We don't have the same revenues as the bigger clubs, despite the excellent results we are a provincial reality. We can't compete with such figures, but we have a clear mind on the stadium and on the Bortolotti center, we still need a few million euros"
Percassi then touched upon the upcoming challenges on the pitch and the perspective of one of the break-thorugh players in Serie A this season, Dejan Kulusevski: "We will evaluate everything at the end of the season, and this applies to everyone. Next games? We have two big games like the one against Juventus and the one against Dinamo Zagreb. We want to get qualification to the next round in the Champions League. The second half against Manchester City was incredible, that's why we belive we can make it. Zapata? his return will be very important, we have missed him", Percassi concluded.
