After managing Sampdoria last season, Vincenzo Montella has arrived at Milan, a club he had been linked to in the past. The former Fiorentina coach spoke to "Corriere della Sera" about having to replace captain Montolivo who injured his knee during the international break:"I believe he's irreplaceable, he gives guarantees in both phases, he is important to the team and in the locker room. He's a bigger loss than people realize. Since he's the captain, one of the most representative players during these difficult years he's been a target. Is Locatelli ready? In the last few matches he has always been in decisive moments, so he has all of my confidence. We should also remember he has only played in part of 5/6 Serie A matches, I would have liked to let him grow slowly. What do I want? We'd need a player with Montolivo's attributes, who knows how to play in a 2 man midfield. Fabregas? He doesn't have the same characteristics"
