Earlier today, Sven Botman's agents arrived at Casa Milan to discuss the rossoneri's interest in the Lille center back.
During the meeting, Maldini and Massara reiterated their desire to sign Botman in the upcoming summer transfer window. The main hurdle in a potential deal is fact Lille could ask for a price that is considerably higher than what Milan are willing to offer.
Newacastle are also interested in acquiring Botman and have the ability to meet Lille's asking price, so Milan are banking on the player's potential desire to join them as a way to start a real negotiation with the French club.
