The elimination from the Europa League was a huge disappointment for Milan, but the Rossoneri will try to forget about it as they prepare to face Bologna on Wednesday at the Stadio Dall'Ara. Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso introduced the game against his former teammate Inzaghi in the pre-match press conference: "I want to see the same performance as in Athens but without the mistakes, we gave the game away. It is too easy to look for faults from the referee, when you are not determined enough you get bad results. My players deserve respect, I keep hearing that a player or two or on the verge of leaving. The Olimpyakos game has to be a scar that we have to remember, but I don't doubt this group in the slightest, we have to improve. When you concede two goals against Dudelange or you arrive at the last Europa League game with everything at stake it means mistakes were made. We had all to play for at Athens but we also made crucial errors in the previous 5 games.".

Gattuso was also asked about the situation of the injured players: "Conti is ready to play. Musacchio and Romagnoli need to be treated with care. Romagnoli's calf needs to heal well and the last thing I want is a relapse."

And on Ibrahimovic unlikely returno, Gattuso said that: he "never spoke with Ibrahimovic, I am ok with whoever arrives and have to focus on the players at hand. I have no problem with him but we never discussed it neither face-to-face or by telephone about the possible transfer".

Finally, the milan coach discussed his ex-teammates Inzaghi, under the cosh at Bologna after some bad results: "There is always a risk of losing your job if results do not arrive. I have fond memories with Pippo Inzaghi. There's a lot at stake for both of us, it's part of the job but our friendship and respect will always remain."
