Attending this weekend's Champions League Final in Cardiff is Milan Managing Director Marco Fassone. The Milan man spoke about many topics to reporters including Milan's transfer market and about Jorge Mendes. Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid has been heavily linked to AC Milan, and rossoneri fans await news of Gianluigi Donnarumma's renewal.

"Sunny days are ahead here at Milan. We've taken notes from different clubs who've done it quicker. We don't have a specific timeline of success but I assure our fans we'll try to get back to the top as soon as possible. First we qualify for the Champions League and then we'll talk. We've spent the last 9 months going around talking to clubs and agents. Mirabelli has done phenomenal work and we met with Montella, which we were already ahead with in terms of future plans. We promised a few signings and we delivered. By July 3rd we'll have 60-70% of the squad complete. Meeting with Jorge Mendes? We're here in Cardiff to watch the game but also the entire football world is here today. I'll run into him and we might chat about players, logically because he's one of the biggest agents in the world.

"In terms of Morata....Real as you can imagine has been unavailable to speak with in the last two days. Morata is a name that the media has suggested and that we like very much. It's appropriate though that we wait until next week for those talks. With Donnarumma we've been clear and transparent. We want to build our team around Gigio. He knows that and we've been showing him how committed we are to him and to our success moving forward. The ball is in his court and we've asked for a response as soon as possible because we don't want to go into the season with a player on an expiring contract. We're in the Europa League right now and we'll try to finish in the top 4. We're hopeful Gigio will sign and be a part of this."
